I am pleased to provide therapeutic services in safe, open, non judgmental environment where you can be comfortable in expressing your concerns, your issues and your emotions. I am able to help you with many issues. This includes depression, ansiety, divorce, low self esteem, trauma/Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), grief and loss, relationship issues, major life transitions (such as job loss, aging, major medical/physical changes), spirituality, LGBTQ issues, and many others.

I provide traditional talk therapy and can also provide non-traditional therapies such as art therapy and sandplay therapy for individuals, families, couples, children and groups. Non-traditional therapies may provide opportunities for my clients to explore thoughts and feelings in ways that are sometimes less threatening then a direct discussion and can also be helpful in communicating thoughts and emotions that are difficult to describe with words. I also incorporate , mindfulness techniques, journaling/creative writing, cognitive behavioral therapy and other eclectic therapeutic approaches and techniques as they are needed. Because there are no “cookie cutter” therapeutic approaches that work for everyone, I tailor my therapeutic plan of care to individual needs, preferences and comfort levels.

I will help empower you to work through your difficult times. You are the expert of your own life experiences and you will be the one that truly directs your path to recovery. I will be happy to partner with you on this journey. I will use my extensive education and my therapeutic experience, along with my professional and personal insights gained from my own struggles in my life to help guide you in resolving issues, reducing symptoms and achieving your personal goals.

Learning about yourself allows you to get in touch with your underlying feelings that will ultimately lead you to an enhanced understanding of what will allow you to be happier in your life. I look forward to assisting you in centering and holistically positioning yourself comfortably in your personal and professional areas.

Therapist Shanna N. Reyes, MS, LPC, LCASA

Shanna N. Reyes, MS, LPC, LCAS-A

I have immediate openings and enjoy working with adults, couples, teens and children. I can help! It is always important to feel comfortable and safe when working to resolve issues. I will provide that for you.

For some, each day is a repeat of the last, full of conflict, anger, and regret. For others, the struggles are so fresh that it may be overwhelming, making avoidance the best way to survive. This could be through hurtful behaviors, withdrawing to our inner world, or simply by doing nothing day after day.

I am pleased to be able to provide EMDR for those who are need of it. For many, trauma is considered to be the distress that comes from an uncommon event in life, such as a terrible accident or the loss of a child. We often set aside the feelings that occur more frequently following other occasions, such as disappointing a parent and receiving a sharp remark instead of a statement of acceptance. Although this instance may make an impression just as great, it is easier to deny how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors may be related to a seemingly minor moment.

If any of this sounds familiar, you may be ready to take the first step toward a new goal. Let me work with you, at your pace, to move forward in order to enjoy your life. With more than ten years experience, I am comfortable helping families, children, adolescents, and adults from all backgrounds. I am available to work alongside you in identifying concerns and changing their influence on your current way of living. Call today for individualized services - just for you!
